Sensei Shaun Cassidy began his Wado Ryu Karate journey in 1989, developing a lifelong passion for the art built on discipline, respect, and self-improvement. With over three decades of experience, Shaun brings a wealth of knowledge and a calm, thoughtful approach to his teaching.
A former Kumite and Kata competitor, Shaun has spent years refining his technique and understanding of traditional Wado Ryu principles - blending smooth, efficient movement with precise timing and a strong defensive mindset. His teaching reflects this balance, encouraging students to move with purpose, control, and awareness.
As an instructor, Shaun believes karate is as much about building character as it is about perfecting technique. His classes are welcoming, focused, and rooted in respect - creating an environment where every student can challenge themselves, grow in confidence, and discover the deeper lessons that karate offers beyond the dojo.
